THE TITLE SONG FROM DNO'S LATEST ALBUM, "MY BACHELOR WAYS".

Bio
new music (and some nostalgia)
Fresh on the heels of his 2009 album « Second Hand Store » DNO presents "My Bachelor Ways", another string of tunes for which the only genre tag that could fit would be « Americana » : it's a diverse collection of North American styles tied together by David's tongue-in-cheek lyrics and René Gely's superb arrangements.
But in the midst of all this new material, recorded over six months of negotiating restrictions while bringing in some of the best musicians in the region to help out, DNO also looks back at one song that has taken on special meaning in the last year, "I Rattle When I Walk", written about David's relationship with his father, who passed away a year ago, the day after Father's Day. The reflective quality of "I Rattle When I Walk", which came out on "Second Hand Store", contrasts strongly with the mostly tongue-in-cheek nature of the songs on the new album.

A heartfelt homage to the dedication of ASMR artists (or ASMRtists, as they like to be known), with their beautifully manicured nails, who spend hours behind - not just fluffy microphones - but all manner of objets, finding just the right texture to produce the soothing sounds that help us send us off into dreamland.
When you're 17, hanging around the house, good old Dad sometimes gets on your nerves. But then as you get older you begin to understand him a little better. What's rattling around in the old man's pockets when he walks are the symbols of the responsibilities he's taken on.

“* David Nelson Ostrosser, also known as DNO, has a new album out entitled My Bachelor Ways on Bandcamp. We’re kind of digging his new video single written for our times: "Cover Up Your Faceholes Baby'” - Jaimie Vernon
“David Nelson Ostrosser is a singer/songwriter who recently released a fantastic new studio album titled My Bachelor Ways. The artist managed to develop a distinctive sound by combining his love of country music and rock with his penchant for comedic lyrics. The album is filled with songs that are fun and lighthearted, but also quite amazing and musical. I’ve always been a big believer that comedy music should also be plain old good music as well.” - Stacey Zering
