  1. Barn Spoiled
In cart Not available Out of stock

When a horse used to want to trot or gallop back to the barn after a trail ride, we used to say the horse was "barn spoiled". That makes a nice metaphor for someone who wants to get back to the home corral as fast as they can when the work day is finished.

Lyrics

Barn spoiled
Can't help what I do, yes I'm
Barn spoiled
Like a barn spoiled nag
Galloping home to you.

Some folks hit the Happy Hour when the working day is through
Have a few laughs and knock back a beer and a shot
But I can't join them when they tell me it's time to have some fun
'Cause you turn me toward home and I break into a trot.

'Cause I'm barn spoiled
Can't help what I do, yes I'm
Barn spoiled
Like a barn spoiled nag
Galloping home to you.

Some folks try to tell me
"Yeah, she's got you on a string"
But they don't know what's waiting at home you see
By the time I hear that buzzer ring and I'm passing by the clock
Home corral's already calling me.

'Cause I'm barn spoiled
Can't help what I do, yes I'm
Barn spoiled
Like a barn spoiled nag
Galloping home to you.

All maybe it's got something to do with the lady I've got waiting
Waiting with a love that's true and I ain't hesitatin'
Or maybe it's the close she wore last time she met me at the door
But I ain't waiting' anymore I'm

Barn spoiled
Can't help what I do, yes I'm
Barn spoiled
Like a barn spoiled nag
Galloping home to you.
